| This site is strictly a "Use At Your Own Risk" site. The
information contained herein was put here only to help those of you out
that like to do things on your own and/or don't want to wait on hold for
Verizon Wireless Tech Support (866-788-9387). We will not be held responsible for
any ill effects to your device should they occur while performing any of
the steps contained within. There are some other steps included within this site that can help you with other ugly or difficult situations. Not only will you find soft and hard reset steps, there are also documents describing how to create a bluetooth partnership with a pc so that you can perform a HotSync (PalmOne Treo 650) or ActiveSync (Audiovox XV6600 and Samsung i730) via bluetooth. If you want to create a bluetooth partnership and you have Windows XP without SP2 (Windows XP Service Pack 2), click HERE. If you have Windows XP with SP2, click HERE. We will not say where the information here was gathered nor will we guarantee it's authenticity. We do know that the information within this site works 99% of the time, the exceptions being when there's a defective data device that is beyond repair with a simple hard or factory reset. As always, and before performing any of the steps described, perform a backup by synchronizing your device to a PC. Sync backups should be done a minimum of once per week. In a business environment where the data held within can be considered critical, backups should be done daily without exception. These devices are volatile and have been known to erase all information within without warning or explanation. The best option is to have a backup program that takes a full backup and stores it on a memory card. The benefit to that is that if you're traveling and don't have access to the pc you normally sync with, you can still get all your info back into the device quickly.
